I took all the kids to school this morning, stopped on the way home for a Starbucks Peppermint mocha twist latte, and enjoyed a very peaceful morning at home.
I picked up Caleb and spent the next couple of hours hanging out with him, and trying to stop him from climbing things, destroying things or hurting himself. Then, we picked up Carson and Jamie and stayed to play at the park for a while. They always like that, and I like for them to get their energy out!
Tonight, Jamie helped me make dinner. She helped me grate cheese and then I gave her what was left of the cheese block to eat. She asked me for a candle to put on top of it, so that she could make cheese cake, lol.
They are all asleep now, and I am about to go watch Indiana Jones with Vic. :)

January 29, 2009
I got to spend the morning with Carson's class this morning at Wormsloe. Unfortunately, it was raining, so we had to stay inside the museum. That meant we didn't get to see the musket be fired or the other outdoor demos they usually do. It was very interesting, though. We watched a video about Georgia's beginnings and then a guy dressed in 18th century clothing talked to us about life in Georgia in the 18th century. Carson thought it was cool that the guy had a real musket and a real sailor's sword with him. It thought it was cool, too.
Later in the afternoon, I had a conference with Jamie's teacher. She got a very good report, and the teacher sent home with me a large envelope full of her artwork and printed photos of Jamie.
This afternoon, I picked up Carson and Jamie, picked up Caleb from Grammy & Grampy's house and then we went home and I cleaned up as fast as I could while the kids played outside. I wasn't home much today, so I didn't get much done. I am looking forward to catching up tomorrow!

January 28, 2009
Vic took the kids to school this morning and I headed off for a morning of pampering at MOPS spa day. I got my hair cut, my eyebrows waxed, a hand and arm massage with a peppermint lotion, and a 10-minute full-body massage. That was great until she started karate chopping my bottom. That was just odd. I also ordered myself a new handbag from a MOPS mom who makes really cute bags. They even had great food, and it was all completely free! :-D
After that, I picked up Caleb, headed to McDonald's for Happy Meals and then picked up Carson and Jamie, who had early release today. Carson spent the afternoon with Grammy and Grampy and is spending the night there. I'm sure he's had a great time. Jamie and Caleb played with Ann this afternoon and got started on their Valentines.
Caleb is still awake right now, since he fell asleep at 5:00 despite my efforts to keep him awake. He only slept about half an hour, so I hope he'll be out soon. I'm going to go work on that now, since I will be needing to watch LOST very soon!

January 27, 2009
Caleb and I hung out this morning. We went to Walmart and then went to Sonic for drinks and to the park to play. It was fun, but a little too chilly at the park for me! I am looking forward to the temperatures in the upper 70s tomorrow!
This afternoon Grammy brought home Carson and took Jamie to her house to play. Carson played with a friend all afternoon and Caleb was an over-tired terror all afternoon.
Vic brought Jamie home tonight and we had a fairly chaotic family dinner, since very tired Caleb decided he wanted to make a train out of the kitchen chairs and we were making him very angry by sitting in the chairs to eat our dinner and not giving them up for the train, lol.
Now they are all sleeping and there is peace in the house. Ahhhhh. Time to go see what's on the DVR.

January 26, 2009
Jamie was thrilled this morning that she had gotten a letter from the Tooth fairy and $2. Carson had been concerned last night that the Tooth Fairy might be feeling the effects of the economy and not paying out as much for teeth, lol. But it all worked out okay. She was excited to go to school and tell her friends and teachers all about losing her tooth and the Tooth Fairy. :)
I took all the kids plus two neighbor kids to school this morning. I always feel like I'm pulling up to the school in a clown car on Monday mornings. You'd think there were 20 kids in there as long as it takes them to unload! At least I have figured out that it helps to move the front passenger seat up some so Caleb can't block everyone from getting out by sticking out his legs and resting them on the seat back.
I spent a quiet morning at home and then picked up Caleb. We came home for lunch and then he helped me clean up the upstairs before taking a short nap.
This afternoon, we picked up Carson and Jamie and they played all afternoon with a friend until time for pizza and homework. They were all tired tonight, and so am I. Time to go clean up the kitchen and get some sleep!

January 25, 2009
We didn't go to church this morning, since Caleb is still pretty congested and Vic is still kind of limping around. We stayed around the house until this afternoon, then we took off for some shopping.
First we stopped at CiCi's pizza. Our kids had never been but had heard about the legendary all-you-can-eat pizza place from other kids. So, we went. They were way more excited about the arcade than they were about the pizza, though.
After that I took Carson and Jamie to Toys R Us while Vic and Caleb went to TJ Maxx. Jamie got a gift card yesterday at her party, so she got to spend it today at TRU. We looked at every toy in the place before she settled on a set of pom poms and a "Learn to be a Princess" Barbie set.
We met back up and all headed to Target after that. The kids always like that because they have Icees. That was our last stop before heading home.
Our big news this evening is that Jamie lost her first tooth tonight! She had told me earlier in the day that one was loose. I felt it and it was a little loose, but I figured it would hang on a couple more weeks. She somehow knocked it right out tonight! She is very excited about the Tooth fairy visiting and went to sleep in record time tonight. :)

Vic actually went to the office this morning to get some work done. I am so surprised how easy the surgery has been for him! Caleb and I spent the morning getting ready for Jamie's party. We also went to Publix for ice cream and to pick up the cake, which was one of those pull-a-part cupcake cakes. Caleb seemed to be feeling better today, thank goodness.
This afternoon we picked up Grammy, Carson and Jamie and went to the Y for Jamie's party. We had 18 kids there, including ours. I had been worried that too many would show up(the Y says no more than 20), but it worked out great. :) They all had a good time. The only annoying thing was that there was some sort of dance practice going on in the gym at the same time as the party. I don't think that was supposed to happen, but it worked out okay, since it's a big gym and the kids really only cared about the trampolines and foam pits anyway.
The kids all came upstairs to the party area tired and thirsty from running around so much. They were going through juice pouches so quickly that I feared I would run out. I took 40 with me and it was barely enough. We sang happy birthday, they tore through their cupcakes, ice cream cups and juice and went downstairs for more play time. I think everyone had fun. I know Jamie did. She has been looking forward to this for a long time.
We came home and opened presents and the kids played with some friends for a while. Then we grilled out steaks for dinner. Now I need to get to work on cleaning up downstairs. You'd think we'd had the party here judging by the mess!
I will get pictures posted as soon as I can. We are still having some computer issues.

January 23, 2009
Vic's surgery went well this morning. We were home by 9AM! He has been doing great today. It about made him crazy having to sit around all day today, though. He can't stand holding still. He even rode with me to pick up Carson and Jamie and drop them off at Grammy & Grampy's house this afternoon.
He was also taking phone calls and working on his laptop all day. Even the pain meds didn't slow him down. I am happy he is doing so well. I hope he feels this good tomorrow!
Caleb isn't feeling too well. We brought him home with us this afternoon from Grammy & Grampy's house because he has a fever and a bit of a cough. He is finally asleep now, and I am heading to bed too. It has been a very long day!

January 22, 2009
Okay, so first, I am still so excited that LOST is back! What a great couple of episodes last night.
I'll back up to yesterday, since I slacked off last night.
Yesterday I dropped off Caleb at school, went back home for my check book, went back to the preschool to pay for a spaghetti casserole the school was selling as a fundraiser, went to Walmart and then went to the Doctor's office.
The doctor's office was having a problem with their electricity and was without power in parts of the building. So, they were more backed up than usual. The nurse for one of the other doctors opened the door to call a patient back and then called out to suggest that anyone else waiting for this doctor might want to think about rescheduling. You know it's bad when that happens.
Luckily, my doctor wasn't too backed up and Grammy was picking up Caleb from preschool so I didn't have to worry about that. And, just before I was sent to the second waiting room, the power came back. So, I finally got my turn with the doctor, and I told her my pain under my ribs was getting worse and that my back was hurting too. Turns out I have a kidney infection that was causing my pain to be worse. Still don't know what the other pain is from, though. She thinks it's muscular; I'm not so sure. Anyway, I got antibiotics. Hopefully they will work. So, all in all, it only took 1.5 hours. Not to bad.
After that I picked up Caleb from Grammy's house and enjoyed some vegetable soup while I was there. Yummy!
Later we picked up Carson and Jamie, they played with a friend for a while and then we headed to the preschool's auction and spaghetti dinner. We got out of there pretty fast and headed home to get the kids in bed and spend the rest of the night watching LOST. :)
Today was much less eventful. Caleb wasn't feeling too well. He is very congested and wanted me to hold him. So, I did. I also managed to pack bags for the kids to take to Grammy & Grampy's house, since they are staying there for the next two nights due to Vic's knee surgery tomorrow morning.
Caleb and I picked up Carson and Jamie from school and then I took all the kids over to Grammy & Grampy's house to have a fun couple of days over there.
Tonight Vic and I went to eat at Barbara Jean's. It was so nice to have a peaceful dinner out!
Now I'm off to get ready for bed. We have to be at the surgery center at 6AM tomorrow!

LOST is back - woohoo!!!!! That's really all I have to say today. :)
I'll catch up on blogging tomorrow. My brain is tired from watching all that LOST!

January 20, 2009
I dropped the kiddos off at school this morning and then Caleb and I went and did our grocery shopping for the week at Publix. That's the only place we went today. It was a little too chilly outside for me. Anything below 50 and I'm pretty much shivering.
We watched a little of the inauguration, but Caleb was surprisingly uninterested, so we watched mostly Bob the Builder and cleaned up around the house.
We picked up Carson and Jamie and, since Carson had no homework, he and Jamie and Caleb played with their friend, Ann, all afternoon.
Vic had to work late tonight, so I canceled my plans to attend the PTA meeting, which was really okay. I had wanted to go because the superintendent is speaking tonight about the process that we would have to follow to change the kids' school from a k-5 to a k-8. But, now I don't have to go out in the cold and I'm sure I'll get a recap from somewhere.
Over dinner, we talked about what we would do if we were President. Carson was going to give away free cats to everyone and was going to make a law that the President got anything he wanted for free. He also wanted a stuffed animal factory and an agreement with Ganz to supply him with Webkinz codes for the stuffed animals made in his factory. He is really getting Webkinz obsessed! So is Jamie, as she said she would give away free Webkinz to everyone if she were president. :)

January 19, 2009
I'm back! Thanks to Brent spending hours working on the computer, it is running again. :)
So, what did you miss? Hmmm. I can't remember when I left off, so I will summarize by saying I went to Walmart a couple of times and Publix a couple of times. The kids went to school and I picked them up. I folded A LOT of laundry and, since the computer wasn't working, I put it all away, too! The house has been super duper clean with no computer to distract me. The cleaning lady will not have much to do Wednesday, not even laundry. :)
Vic left for Las Vegas last Thursday for some training and for fun. He had a great time, learned a lot about growing his REO business and made enough money playing poker to cover the hotel and food. He got back late last night, and I am happy to have him back at home.
While he was gone, the kids and I had a great time with Grandpa and Gran, who visited with us on Saturday and Sunday. We celebrated Christmas with them, and the kids had so much fun. The kids also had fun playing Wii with Grandpa and Gran and building forts with blankets and pillows. I even got to go run some errands by myself, which is always fun!
Today I took the kids to a gift shop near our house that has great prices on Webkinz. Jamie spent her birthday money from Nana and Poppa on a Seahorse Lilkinz. She needed 5 more dollars to buy it, so Carson the business man offered to loan it to her and then hammered out the details. At first he told her he wanted payment by the end of the week or he was taking possession on the seahorse, lol. But, after Jamie ended up in tears, I told him I thought he was being a little harsh, so they went back to the drawing board and decided that she gets to add it to her Webkinz account, but it sleeps in his room at night. He is so much like his dad.
After that, we went to McDonald's for lunch and the kids played on the outdoor playground. Probably not my smartest move since it was rather chilly and windy today. So, I was freezing and trying to chase down various items as they blew off the table while the kids played, seemingly unaffected by the weather. So, we didn't stay too long.
We went home and played some Wii and Webkinz and then played outside for a little while this afternoon, when it seemed much less windy.
Time to go catch up on the DVR now. I have to make room for the new episode of LOST on Wednesday!!

Computerless
Hi everyone, I'm going to be without a computer for the next couple of days until the desktop is fixed, since Vic will have the laptop with him in Vegas. It is going to be tough being without a computer for a couple of days, but I am going to get so much done! :)

January 13, 2009
Today was a nice, quiet rainy day. I dropped off Carson and Jamie at school and then Caleb and I went home to snuggle up and watch some Bob the Builder. I also managed to clean up the downstairs from the birthday party last night.
Later we got to stop by the kids' school to take Carson his folder and homework that was left at home. Caleb always likes going there because there is a fish tank in the front office. On the way to the school, one of my windshield wiper blades came part way off and was waving around wildly whenever the wipers went up. So, that was embarrassing. But, luckily it was the passenger side wiper and a quick phone call to Vic helped me fix it. We stopped by Publix and then headed home.
It was Jamie's turn to play at Grammy & Grampy's house today. They played Webkinz with Jamie's new pink pony and stopped by Toontown, too. She had fun and I thought she would be worn out tonight, but no such luck. I think she could run a marathon right now. She is still awake, and has relocated her sleeping bag from her bed to the floor beside our bed.
I am on the bed using the laptop tonight because our upstairs computer won't start up. Vic and Brent tried to make some sort of changes last night to make it run faster, and I guess something didn't go quite right. I will post pictures from Jamie's birthday whenever it gets up and running again.

January 12, 2009 Happy Birthday, Jamie!
Jamie is officially 5 years old now. She's fast asleep in her new princess sleeping bag after a fun day.
I dropped all the kids off at their schools this morning and then ran a couple of errands and went home to bake a birthday cake before picking up Caleb. I took Caleb to Grammy & Grampy's to play for the afternoon and then headed to Jamie's classroom with treats for her class.
She wanted donuts, so she enjoyed Krispy Kremes with her class while wearing the birthday crown her teacher had given her. After the snack, I checked her out early and we headed to the nail salon, where she chose a very, very bright reddish-pink color for her nails with a yellow flower design. She was so excited about her pretty nails.
After her nails were dry, we went next door to the hair salon and she got a shampoo, haircut and blow dry. I'm not so sure she enjoyed that as much. She has never been to a salon that wasn't just for kids. The look on her face when the lady was washing her hair was priceless. She didn't know what to think, lol.
We left there and picked up Carson, then went to Grammy and Grampy's house to find that Caleb was still asleep. So, we left him there, but first I went inside to check out the hole he had knocked in their pantry door by slamming it back so hard that the door stop up top went through the door! Whoops! He is like bam bam sometimes.
Later Grammy & Grampy came over with Caleb and Uncle Brent came over and we all ate pizza, cake and ice cream. Jamie had the best time opening up her gifts. She now has enough play make up to open her own salon, a new Webkinz with clothes and a carrier, a beautiful music box, a Furreal cat that she has been wanting for a long time, a new princess sleeping bag and lots of other great gifts.
I think she had a fun day. I know I did, and now I can't wait to get some rest. Partying like a five year old has worn me out!
I will post pictures soon.

January 11, 2009
This morning we went to Sunday School and then stopped by Subway for our usual $5 subs on the way home. After lunch, we spent much of the afternoon going through clothes in Carson's and Jamie's rooms and cleaning out stuff that they have outgrown. I can't believe how many clothes they have accumulated! It is much easier to close their drawers now.
Vic took a bunch of stuff to Goodwill this afternoon. It is nice to have it out of the house. I am sure I could find a lot more to get rid off, too. I didn't even get to Caleb's room yet, not to mention my own closet!
Other than the cleaning up, the kids played outside a little, but not too much since it was raining off and on and wet outside. They stacked plastic cups for a long time with William. Caleb took an afternoon nap, which meant he was up way too late tonight and quite the little ball of energy.
The kids are tucked in now, and Jamie is, I'm sure, dreaming of birthday cake and ice cream. She is so excited to be turning five! I am going to go wrap up some gifts now and get everything ready for her big day tomorrow!

January 10, 2009
Today we had a quiet Saturday and mostly stayed home. The kids spent much of the day making forts with blankets and pillows that they took from all the beds in the house. They also played Webkinz and Wii and Jamie watched her new Care Bears movie. It was a nice day and they were able to play outside some too.
This afternoon Vic took Carson to a birthday party at the go kart tracks. Carson was so excited to get to go ride the go karts. Vic seemed excited, too. They had a good time. Carson got to play in the arcade, and they rode on the biggest track three times. I wonder if Carson will want to do that for his party now.
I took Caleb and Jamie to Publix to pick up a few things for her family birthday party Monday night. She is so excited to be almost 5! She is counting down the days. Only one day left!

January 9, 2009
I spent a quiet morning at home this morning cleaning up a little, then picked up Caleb from preschool and we went to Walmart for a couple of things. I shopped about 10 minutes too long at Walmart and had to deal with a super tired, cranky two year old screaming and throwing things out of the cart. I should have checked out while he was still happy!
This afternoon we picked up Carson and Jamie and Caleb fell asleep in the car. We are paying for that now because he is still awake and downstairs watching TV with Vic. Oh well, I'm hoping he'll at least sleep in tomorrow morning. He woke me up this morning at 5:20.
These are pictures from this past week. Since I have been slack about posting them daily, I'll just post them all at once. :)

January 8, 2009
I sent Jamie off to school this morning and then dropped Caleb off at Grammy and Grampy's house for a day of fun. Then I ran a couple of errands and came home to wait for the new vanity for the bathroom to be delivered. I stopped on the way home and got take out fajitas for lunch, which was really yummy, but I'll probably regret it at Monday's weigh in!
They vanity did arrive this afternoon. I am excited that we are at least moving towards making progress in redecorating the bathroom. That room has been a work in progress for at least 6 months now, probably more like 7-8 months.
I picked up Carson and Jamie from school and then we picked up Caleb, who had lots of fun working in the yard today with Grammy.
The kids were especially crazy tonight, and I am so glad they are in the bed now!
Here are some random things that haven't made it into the blog lately:
-- Caleb is addicted to Clementines lately and every time I turn around he has another one and is throwing peels all over the place. I guess there are worse things he could be hooked on, like candy. Oh yeah, he actually is addicted to candy, too. And, he knows where the stash is and is really good at climbing. So, I am pulling him down off the counter 100 times a day.
-- Vic's new assistant started this past Monday, and is 71 years old. She has lots of real estate experience and will be a great help to him, but Vic was shocked by her lack of computer skills after the first day. I had to giggle that he was surprised.
-- Carson informed me recently that he was never getting married. He and his friend William are going to save up their money and buy their own house together. I asked him why he doesn't want to get married, and he said, "Well, I don't guess I'll ever find a girl I like as much as I like William, so I'm just not getting married." LOL I can't wait to remind him of that when he's older.
-- I caught half of the Young and the Restless today while eating my fajitas. I haven't seen it in a very long time, save for a few minutes I saw a couple of weeks ago. I almost lost my appetite over a scene with Jack and Sharon. Really Jack? Granted, I'm missing the back story here, but that has to be the worst cover story ever. You'd rather Sharon think you were a sex addict whooping it up with hookers than have her know that you were involved in some conspiracy against Victor? Come on. Colluding against Victor is what you do. Sharon would understand. Thank you, writers, for saving me a few calories today. And for not pairing Sharon with Victor, which would be the only thing worse than Sharon and Jack.

January 7, 2009
I dropped off all of my kids at school this morning and then went to take care of other people's kids for the MOPS leadership meeting for a couple of hours. The kids were happy, and we had three workers, so it was easy.
Then I dropped by the Y and reserved Jamie's birthday party date, finally. So, the 24th it will be. That was the only date they had available until February 7. It is one day after Vic's knee surgery, so not ideal, but Joy is going to help me and Vic Sr. will stay with Vic. Jamie is so excited. She helped me fill out the princess invitations tonight before bed.
I picked up Caleb after I left the Y and then took him to McDonald's. We went inside to eat so he could play in the play area. This one has lighted targets that he can throw balls at, so it's right up his alley. He had a good time and then we went home to find that the cleaning lady was finished, and not only was the house super clean, but she had also washed, dried, and folded three loads of laundry!! She's awesome.
Grammy picked up Carson and Jamie today and then dropped off Jamie and took Carson home with her. Jamie and Caleb spent the afternoon playing with a friend from across the street. They were so tired tonight, they both fell right asleep. Now I am enjoying a peaceful, semi-clean house. :)

January 6, 2009
Caleb and I had a pretty quiet day today. We dropped Carson and Jamie off at school and then we came home and played outside for a while. Later we cleaned some toys out of his room. He is the only kid I've ever seen who tries to put too much into the "give away" bag. I had to stop him from bagging up all his toys. I also got some laundry done and cleaned up the upstairs to get ready for the cleaning lady tomorrow. Of course the kids undid some of it already, but at least I have less to do tomorrow morning.
Grammy picked up Carson and Jamie today and they stayed and played on the playground for a while. Then she brought Carson home and took Jamie to her house for a couple of hours of fun.
This afternoon I followed Caleb around while he rode his little golf cart up and down the street and Carson played Webkinz with a couple of his friends inside. When it was time for Carson's friend to go home, he and Caleb had a race with Caleb on his golf cart and William on his new Razor scooter. Caleb didn't stand a chance, lol. That scooter is pretty cool. I have a feeling Carson will be asking for one of those soon!
I finally got the info about the gymnastics party Jamie wants. I am going to have to pare down the guest list. They only allow 20 kids for safety reasons. So, we decided tonight that we'll just invite the girls in her class and the girls who live on our street. I hope that will work out okay.
Time to fold laundry and watch Scrubs now. I am happy that it's back on. The DVR has been very slim lately!

January 5, 2009
It was rough getting everyone out the door this morning after such a long break, but we made it to school on time. After I dropped off all the kids I went to the Y to set up Jamie's birthday party. This time the lady I need to talk to was there but unavailable. So, the party still isn't set up because she called before I got home, and then I called back twice with no luck getting her or the lady who works in the afternoon. Oh well, I will try again tomorrow.
I headed over to the Dollar store and Walmart after I left the Y. I figured if I can't get the party set up I can at least shop for the party. So, I got party favors, napkins and plates and some art supplies and a Thumbelina doll for gifts for Jamie. At least I made some progress. I feel bad for letting her birthday slip up on me this year.
Then I did some shopping at Publix and headed home to quickly put everything away and pack up a couple of things I need to ship before picking up Caleb.
Caleb enjoyed his first day back at school. He said he played with trains and played on the playground and ate "Cheeto snakes" for snack. We went by the post office and then went home, where he helped me clean out Jamie's toys again. I don't know how she accumulates so many toys! Her closet was overflowing, so I got rid of two bags full of stuff she doesn't play with. Now we are ready for the next toy influx, coming one week from today. :)
We picked up Carson and Jamie, who were less enthusiastic about their first day back at school but still had a good day, I think. They were definitely happy that it was pizza night, and all the kids were ready for bed shortly after dinner. Getting back into the routine is tough!

January 4, 2009
Today was another fairly quiet day. We planned to take the kids to Sunday School but got so busy talking about our plans for re-doing the screened porch that we lost track of time and didn't make it.
We ate lunch then the kids played outside while Vic worked on the fence around the a/c units and the trash can. He got the gate finished today; now he just has to attach it. The raccoon was back in the trash last night. I hope he likes his new dining area. The trash can is now right by the back door, behind the little fence. I am never going out that door at night again!
Later we went to Kroger and then to Beef O'Brady's for take-out food. We wanted to do something for dinner that the kids would like as a grand finale to their Christmas vacation, but Caleb was so tired we decided take out was a better route than eating at the restaurant. They all still got to play a couple of games, so it worked out great. :)
Back to the routine tomorrow. It will be hard to get up early again! Caleb has been sleeping in a lot over the break, and I have gotten spoiled.

January 3, 2009
We had a very quiet day today. Brent came over this morning and he and Vic spent much of the day building a little fence around our trash can and air conditioning units outside. I spent much of the day trying to keep Caleb out of the way. He got to help some, but couldn't be out there when the nail gun or saw was in use. He really wanted to help, so keeping him distracted was not easy. But, it is done now except for the gate, and it looks good. I'm sure the raccoon will be happy that his feeding trough has been fancified, too.
I got a little bit done around the house, but not much. I pretty much stayed one step ahead of the kids today. We all played Webkinz and the kids played outside some too. The kids are finally all asleep now. I thought for a while that Jamie might be up all night tonight, but she is finally out. Time for me to fold some laundry and head to bed myself.

January 2, 2009
This morning I dropped Jamie and Caleb off for a fun day playing with Grammy & Grampy. Then, Carson and I went Webkinz shopping.
He wanted to spend some of his Christmas money on a seahorse lilkinz. We went to Hallmark first, and they had no seahorses. They did have a Zingoz, though. So, he bought that. Then we headed to another store that had the seahorse, but he changed his mind and bought a Webkinz cow instead. It was on sale for $5. I even got myself a golden retriever for $5 after Carson told me that my lilkinz cow was probably lonely. :)
We ran a couple of other errands and then we went home and had fun setting up our new Webkinz and getting their rooms all decked out. After that, I cleaned up a little around the house before picking up Caleb and Jamie.
Once we all got home, we cleaned up a lot around the house. I keep putting all these toys away and they keep coming right back out again. There is going to be a major toy purge once the kids star back to school. This mess is driving me nuts. Plus, I have a cow and a dog to take care of online now. I don't have time for messes! ;)
Time to get the kids in bed now and see if there's anything on the DVR. I should probably do some laundry, too. I miss my laundry fairy!

January 1, 2009
Our first day of 2009 was nice and relaxing. It was great to have Vic home again. The guys did some work in the back yard this morning, and Jamie stayed inside and helped me take down Christmas decorations.
After lunch, Carson and Jamie decorated a gingerbread house. Caleb passed on the gingerbread house, and decided to stay outside with Vic instead. Then it was football time. Caleb fell asleep watching football with Vic on the couch.
I made lasagna for dinner, and we all discussed our favorite parts of 2008. Jamie said her favorite part was having her picture made with Santa at Bass Pro Shop. Carson said his favorite part was playing Pokemon on Christmas day. Vic chose our trip to Virginia, and I couldn't pick just one, so I said all of our vacations this year. We had a great year in 2008. I am kind of sad to see it go. Here's hoping 2009 is just as great!
